Course Desciption

  • Course #5...Something twisty and technical
Margaret Polf Park/ Boomtown is a fast, hard-pack course. Twisting paved sidewalks that switchback into singletrack offer the perfect test to the combination of technical and speed skills. As an added bonus the Boomtown ABA BMX track will help you re-live your youthful years. This is the final so there maybe some new surprises.

Sunday was Amazing

Sunday Shasta Race Series saw everything a great course can offer sprints, jumps, thrills and spills. The dry conditions caused some rides to lose a little skin yet the racing remained fierce in all of the categories. The Shasta Lake City venue hosted an excellent final race. I know we had our issues with scoring but we promise to tweak it for the better. To see the smiles and cheers made the entire series a success in my book. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, every business who sponsored and of course everyone who braved the rain, snow and heat to come out and race.

Turtle Bay Delivers

Turtle Bay delivers a another fantastic venue.

The morning was cold and the ground was icy but as the C class riders carved the course the B class riders turned up the tempo for a pack race. A class riders raced an amazing 60 minute race that left them muddy and some bloody. The course was rocky and gave those who like the technical races a big dose of the twists and turns. Thanks Noel and Brook for another great course.

A Wet #3

What great turn out for race #3. Anderson River park didn't disappoint. The skies opened up later in the the day to give us our first wet race. Noel and Brook created a course that gave us the goods. We saw an new-comer throw the hammer down in C class, B class witnessed a fast pack race that ended with battle for top three and in A class, the top 2 spots were filled with the blue and white of Owens.

A big thanks to everyone who braved the weather for some Sunday CycloCross

Sunday Anderson River Park

Anderson River Park is a fastest course that favors the roadie's ability to sprint the pavement. But the technical sections make you work for the straight-a-ways.

Registration opens at 8am and the C race starts at 9am.
It looks like rain is in the forecast so dress appropriately.

- Remember rain or shine we race, after all this is CycloCross.

Race Number Two!

Polf Park offered another great venue. The weather was perfect, sunny with a chill and the the ground dry and fast The course dished out its share of spills with its technical turns and off cambers yet still generously cranked out 5 to 6 minute laps; which left little time for recovery. Nice riding by Gino and Brook in C Class. B Class was a massive battle but the true congratulations goes out to Paul in A Class. What an absolutely great 1st place finish between him and his teammate Bill.

Thank you to everyone who came out to race, watch, and voulenteer. Its very much appreciated.
