Hiatus

It saddens me to announce that 2009/2010 Cyclocross series will not take place.  We tried to pull it together, but unforeseen circumstances got the better of me. I didn’t want to half ass the series with a sub-par race so after a mental battle I’ve decided to call it.

I can assure that the series is not gone forever we’re just taking a break, a rest period if you will… SRS will regroup, re-gather, reform and maybe even repent with the full intention of coming back stronger than ever.

Redding area cyclocross racers morn the death of the up and coming soon to be known world wide; "Shasta Race Series." It sickens the riders deep in there bellys; to know that all the money and time that was spent in preperation for this years festivities, we call cyclocross, are no more. The cold brisk mornings were hundreds of crazy people show up to a family event. With music by our beloved dj preparing us for battle as we climb upon our race machines. We will all miss our bbq master and veigen chillie chef that warmed and nourished us after victory. And to our proposed sponsers, we are truly sorry. Give thanks to PAUL, KONA, GUAYAKI, Bikes Exc., Sports Ltd., and Village Cycle. And to all of you who share in this morning; brush the tears away and get on your bikes ride. WiIl we get a chance for all of us to come together again in such a way? We may never know. But till then, we will ride. littlejim
